Cookies

What are cookies?

Cookies are small plain text files that are placed on the hard drive of your computer when you visit a website. Those cookies allow us to make sure that you have the best possible experience when you visit our website. For example, we can remember your preferences so that you are only shown information that is of interest to you. Another benefit is that you will not need to log in or fill in the same information each time you visit a certain website.

Why are we telling you about the use of cookies?

On 11 March 2015, the updated Telecommunications Act came into force in the Netherlands. One of the consequences of this is that from now on, certain cookies may only be placed on an Internet user’s computer with their explicit consent. That is why we want to let you know that our website uses cookies and the reason for this. For other cookies, which make no or little privacy violation, no permission from the visitor is required.

Google Analytics

Cookies can also be used to record visitor statistics. We use Google Analytics to gain insight into the behaviour of visitors to our website. On the basis of this information we gain insight into the surfing and visiting behavior of our visitors and we can optimize our website where possible. The information that Google collects is anonymised as much as possible. Read more about this in our privacy statement.

Accepting or rejecting cookies

You can decide yourself whether you accept or refuse cookies. Most browsers are set to accept cookies by default, but you can normally adjust your browser settings to refuse cookies by default. For most visitors, however, this is a rigorous and practically inconvenient step.

What is the result if you refuse cookies?

With regard to our website, the consequences of refusing cookies are limited. All pages can be viewed normally. However, some pages contain a demo video that can not be viewed within our website without your consent to our cookies. (However, some functions and services on other websites may not function correctly if cookies are not accepted).
